THE PHOTOS HERE were taken with an Agfa ePhoto 307 digital camera... pretty nice for a cheap digital camera; under $300 but saves at 640 by 480 pixels [that's 14" monitor-size]. Many more expensive digital cameras pixelate their indoor and outdoor shots with little square white dots where the contrast is too great for their little electronic brains to comprehend. This Agfa hasn't done that yet in conditions ranging all over the map. What's with the ghosting of the Purple Martin houses [... full of PM's]? I moved my position 10 feet to complete the 270 degree pan and wondered if PhotoVista would be that smart -- to figure it out. Well I wasn't that bright myself. I could have taken the pan from a slightly different point and gotten all the images w/o moving. Or I could have adjusted the ghosting images in PhotoVista my changing the "lens" until it compensated. You can pick different lens for each photo: 18mm... 35mm... etc. Guess I have to go back up to Plum Island and take some more pictures... |
